FUNCTION
AND WORKING METHOD OF A FAST FILLING STATION WITH INTEGRATED BOOSTER:
IN AUTOMATED COMPRESSOR OPERATION DURING IDLE PERIODS, I.E.
DURING THE NIGHT, THE STORAGE SYSTEMS ARE FILLED. DURING DAY TIME,
WHEN A LARGE NUMBER OF SMALL TANKS HAVE TO BE FILLING WITHIN A SHORT
TIME, COMPRESSORS ARE SWITCHED OVER TO BOOSTER OPERATION.
THIS IS EFFECTED BY SIMPLY OPERATING A HIGH PRESSURE VALVE.
THE HIGH PRESSURE STAGE OF THE MULTISTAGE HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSOR
IS NOW DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE STORAGE SYSTEM AND THE PRE-COMPRESSED
AIR FROM THE STORAGE SYSTEM FLOWS INTO THE SMALL TANKS. AS SOON
AS THERE IS A PRESSURE BALANCE IN THE SYSTEM, THE HIGH PRESSURE
VALVE SWITCHES OVER TO BOOSTER OPERATION AND THE LAST COMPRESSOR
STAGE COMPRESSES UP TO REQUESTED FINAL PRESSURE.
OPERATION OF THE SWITCH-OVER VALVE WILL BE CARRIED OUT BY ELECTRO-PNEUMATIC
REMOTE CONTROL.
